LABOMAT VS-2000 system controller
Application
The LABOMAT VS-2000 is used as a control unit and gradient former for MPLC or HPLC systems. The instrument is especially suitable for binary, ternary and quaternary low and high-pressure gradients with a flow range from 0.2 ml to several liters per minute. Methods can be created in which the gradient data, pump flow and up to 10 switch valves can be programmed (i.e. the sample injection valve, column reversed flash valve and column selection valve). All these options make the VS-2000 well suited for optimal scaling up.
Special features
- Method programming
- Binary, ternary and quaternary low-pressure or high-pressure gradient elution
- Flow rates from 0.2 ml up to several liters per minute
- Optional manual control of the gradients, the valves and the flow rate
- Automatic valve cycle time control
- Control of up to 10 system control valves (sample injection valve, column reversed flash valve, column selection valve etc.)
- Pump control
- Touchscreen programming and parameter display
- Display of all current data
- Mixing valve and mixing chambers for flow rates from 0.2 ml up to several liters per minute
- External registration of method data

LaboChrom 5
LC control software

Application
The LaboChrom Control System software is a universal program which is used in preparative chromatography for controlling preparative HPLC instruments (gradients, pumps, sample injection systems, motor on/off valves, fraction collectors and detectors, etc.). It enables isocratic elution, binary, ternary and quaternary gradient programming with 12 different solvents, time control of valves, fractionation, starting the data recording program "LaboChrom 5" and data recording of up to 12 data tracks, etc.
Basic components of the program:
- Control of fractionation using detector threshold values
- Pumps and valves can be controlled via a time table
- Visualization of the equipment
- Graphic display of the amount of solvent used
- Manual control by clicking on the visualization
- Control of accessories (e.g. UV detector, etc.)
Software

Optional program components
- Peak sampling module for controlling fractionation
- Graphic time table editor for controlling cyclic purification
- Data recording module
The program window on the display shows the pump status, flow rate, pressure, extracted solvent and valve positions. The pump and valves can be operated manually using the display keys.
As well as controlling fraction collectors, a peak-dependent valve switch can be set up in a fractionating module so this then functions as a fraction collector. The program carries out the peak recognition.
The programming of the operating sequence can either use time units, volume units of the extracted solvent (calculated from the flow rate) or column volume units.
The complete operating sequence is shown on the display in a visualization of the equipment and a time table marking the current step.

LaboChrom 5
Chromatography software for data recording and analysis

LaboChrom Data System was one of the first MS Windows-based chromatography data systems. It was first presented for Windows, release 2, by Bruker-Franzen. The LaboChrom Data System is maintained at the highest technological level to ensure its position as a high-performance, easy-to-use software.

Today, LaboChrom Data System is a modern software developed in C++. It is compatible with Windows 3.1x, Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

Thanks to the great flexibility of LaboChrom Data System, all tasks in the field of gas and liquid chromatography can be carried out easily, in agreement with GLP requirements.

Additional algorithms are available for special techniques (e.g. thin layer chromatography and gel permeation chromatography).

A number of additional programs is available for tasks such as validations, post-run calculations from multiple chromatograms, and many more. It is only a small step forward to convenient and automated data handling.
